Slow Recovery

Hi All,

Kristine did great with the procedure to install the port in her chest this morning. The surgery lasted about an hour and she was in recovery for about an hour as well.

The only problem is that she had developed a migraine before going in this morning, and the procedure seems to have made it worse. She's been down most of the afternoon trying to get rid of the headache and nausea. Hopefully she'll feel better this evening.

We'll keep you all posted on her progress.

  2. Kristine - Paul Moore from Sweet's/CAP...I heard through the grapevine about your diagnosis. I was diagnosed with NHL a week before Xmas and just finished my 4th round of chemo last week. Two more to go...you can follow my exploits here: http://mrlymphoma.blogspot.com. I am ahead of you in the treatment cycles and I have been lucky with very few side effects. If you need any insight into chemo, let me know. It isn't as crazy as the media makes it out to be. New management drugs and techniques are designed each month to make it as comfortable as possible. I'll be pushing positive energy your way and will keep you in my thoughts.

  3. Greg and Kristine - what great news from the doctor! God is good, ALL the time! Greg's mom had a port that was a little uncomfortable at first - but she did get used to it. We will continue to pray for all of you - asking God to surround you with his never-ending love and peace!
    Love to all of you!

  5. Hi Kristine! I am glad to hear there were only 2 out of 7! Wow! That is awesome news. Don't worry about losing your hair, you will still be one of the most beautiful women I know when you are bald! Now go get crazy and get some pink and purple or mohawk wigs and have some fun. You are a great person and will come through all this even stronger than ever! Show the rest of the world the great, fun, witty, cool and always cheerful Kristine we all know and love. My prayers and thoughts are with you all the way. You can do this, I know you can! We will add you to every prayer list we used for my surgery and I know all will go great. Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress.

Think good thoughts and get better fast!
